<VV> Interior and wiring Re-assembly

We are getting close to the time to put the 65 convertible back together.  The was interior, headlights, etc. were not assembled when I bought the car.  We have all the manuals, but the kick panel discussion has me wondering.  Are there any tips, tricks, things NOT to do, etc. that wouldn't be in the resources we have?
