<VV>Flaps

I suppose I'll take that as a compliment. I live in a town of 10,000, with
3 parts houses. We each have our niches. I'm competing with both a Napa
and Kragen. I'm obviously an enthusiast of older vehicles, as my daily
drivers include the Corvair, a 72 240Z and a full race(but street legal) 64
El Camino. I sold a 57 3100 about a year and a half ago, and had several 64
ChevyIIs as well. I have my ears open for a clean model A closed cab
pickup, but can't do anything currently.

Anyway, if there's anything I can do to help find appropriate info for you
or anyone on this list, just ping me offline at
devin at valleyautomotivesupply.com and see what I can come up with. Don't be
surprised, however if it takes me a day or two to get back to you, I
generally don't get time tos sit down at my personal computer except once a
day or so.

Hi Devin,

I wish your FLAPS was in my area, I'm lucky to go to one where they
speak English much less go out of their way to help you find something.

What you find at your flaps depends on where you go. Modern computer
systems used by auto parts stores generally go back to 1969 for
everything
but VW. For some reason VW is good for about another 10 years earlier.
My
wife and I own the only locally-owned parts store, that we run with just
ourselves and one employee. Anyway, computers are quick and easy, but
not
necessarily right and they don't go back far enough to cover all
applications. I keep a myriad of books available as well as other
resources
in order to be able to do my job well. I may not know the answer you
need
off the top of my head, but I'm willing to look to find it, unlike many
of
my competitors.
