Connie,  To be more specific about the forward control Corvairs, FC  refers 
to the fact that the steering shaft, brake, clutch (if applicable) and  
accelerator are all in front of the axle.  Forward control vehicles were  built and 
are still being built by many manufacturers.  Even the lowly Ford  Econoline 
was a FC vehicle.
