Arjay,

Europe today is quite hospitable even to us Americans. I picked up a new car
in Germany 3 yrs ago and drove it thru South East Germany, France,
Switzerland, Austria, and back thru Germany. The only country that needed my docs. was
Switzerland. Open borders otherwise, nice friendly people, great food, and
beautiful country. Stumbled through the language barrier and found my way
using great maps and easy to read universal road signs. Really an experience I
will not soon forget and not too intimidating :-)

Now to do that in a 40 yr. old Corvair is really quite a feat probably akin
to driving cross the U.S. in a Citroen 2CV if one broke down and needed parts.

Guus,
Congrats and thanks for the recount. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Cheers,
Dave Fierek
