Interesting you should ask.  Tesla has had to go through some very 
unusual certification because nobody before has asked the question -- 
what happens when you slam 7,000 laptop batteries into a wall at 
60mph and cover them with gasoline and strike a match?  Now we know 
that at least the Tesla system is safe.
