the intermittent grinding noise in my rampy, that sounded ;like the left rear
or differential turned out to be the right rear axle bearing. i jacked it up
. put the jack stands under it , ran it about 45 - 55 mph for about 5 minutes
before it showed its ugly noise. it was still not extremely clear exactly
where , but after pulling the axle and feeling it..i was a happy camper not to
have to pull the engine right now. spare bearing has been about 500 miles now ,
sounding just fine. winter will bring more attention to both rear bearings ,
plus the front ones. the plan is to pack all with that magic amsoil red
synthetic grease. any comments on this idea?
regards, tim colson
