Hi Mike,

I believe the rubber bumpers you speak of are no longer available.
Originally, there was a metal or plastic fitting in the square hole that was
threaded to accept a screw that passed through the bumper. The bumper
itself had a recess on the back to cover the fitting.

What I did on mine was to remove the fitting so all I had was the square
hole. I believe I used Clark's number C3331 bumper. It is the size needed
for the front door opening but works fine on the side and rear doors. It is
a tight fit. In their catalog, they mention when using it for the front
doors that you have to drill the hole over size. I got it to fit in both
the front door position and on the side and rear doors without drilling.
What I did was lube it up real good with white lithium grease first. There
is a small hole in the center of the bumper that doesn't go all the way
through. I place a thin rod in this hole and pushed on the rod while
pressing the bumper up against the hole on the body. What that did was
casue the bumper to stretch slightly in length and caused it to narrow
enough to pop into the hole. The first ones I installed lasted 10 years in
the weather so it does work. Installed it looks stock.

Unless someone does up a custom batch of exact fit ones, I think your stuck
being creative!!

Hope that helps you sort it out,

Dan Kling
