Lon's original post stated that the improvments had to fix a recognized Corvair fault.  Mark's obviously had a traumatic experience with the blower bearing but it doesn't seem the masses have.  With any issue there will be statistical anomolies and that's why anecdotal evidence is not worth much.  I'm sure people have had their bearing fail at 100 miles and someone probably has a bearing on a car with 250K miles with no problems.  Neither of these mean anything by themselves (except to the people concerned of course).  Statistically, you have to have a bigger sample in order to make any valid general observations.
