<VV> shift tube

Ron,
I think Chevy used some kind of cardboard.  I think I didn't put anything in
mine when I rebuilt i many years ago.  If everything is straight, the tube
shouldn't touch the rod, so it can't matter what's there unless it's thick
enough to touch and drag.  If they're touching, something needs fixing.
