I will soon participate in my 50 year High
School Reunion. Yes Connie I do remember bicycle streamers and yes
I rode a bicycle to High School. It was an old
Schwinn single speed, coaster brake, 26" tires, and a large paper boy
basket up front. In Atlanta there are plenty of
hills and the 3 mile round trip put some serious "aerobic conditioning"
in the lungs and a little burning in the calf
muscles. My Dad would not allow me to have any motorized transportation
of my own in High School.
Today I received in PDF form the North
Fulton Bulldogs High School 50th year Directory.
We were asked to submit an update
on ourselves. I was amazed that no one else in
our 220+ graduating class made any mention of their cars or being an
enthusiast. We had plenty of Gearheads. We are
having a picnic catered by The Varsity at a nearby public swimming pool
to North Fulton High and I plan on taking da
Brier,
http://carmerjr.home.mindspring.com/page2.htmlsetting
up my pedestal table inside da Brier and having
all my old annuals available for tall tales and
reminiscing about our "first youth" Here is my submission:

Chuck Armer (carmerjr at mindspring.com) and his spoused Elizabeth have a son
Robby. He and Liz love to go to Chevy Corvair conventions and car shows, and
he races and autocrosses a 1966 Corvair under the name "WTBRT" —an
acronym for "Where's The Beef Racing Team", which Chuck says, “Anyone who
knows me will understand the reason for the name.” Shucks, Chuck, at our
reunion we were hoping you’d show off your sixpack abs. He hangs his hat in
Google under the names "Chuck Armer" and "Darth Vair", and is a member of
CORSA, Corvair Atlanta, and Corvanatics. Welcome to Spin City.
