Need help with a significant gas leak!!
An interesting problem popped up in my 1965 Corsa this afternoon. With
engine on, gas was running out of the right side primary carburetor somewhere
down low and toward the front of the car. First indication was that car
stalled.

Primary carbs with a High Speed enrichment circuit (most late carbs) have a
plug inserted on the outside of the bowl fairly low on the outside of the
body. I can think of no other external orifice that could leak, unless the fuel
level rises above the upper/lower body parting line. Then all bets are off. I
remove that lower plug when I relocate the jets for a racing set-up. It is
replaced by a screw threaded plug. Be sure to check that area on the offending
carb. I canot recall having seen one leak before, but these suckers are over
40 years old. - Seth
