The same rust will be in the other carb as well.  Time to add a metal (not 
plastic) fuel filter (left rear wheel area) if you don't already have one to buy 
time and get ready to drop your gas tank to be flushed and coated (or 
replaced).  Best of luck with it.  You aren't the first and any old car with a metal 
tank is susceptible.
