Deflashing and minimizing the obstruction to air flow RAISES the  horsepower 
the fan requires. Look at the hp/flow data in the SAE 140C report  for details.

That doesn't seem right.  In an air conditioning system one keeps the  duct 
cross-section large to hold down the air drag; requires less HP at the fan.  
Why doesn't it work that way on a 'Vair? You may be quite right but I'm  
scratching my head wondering why.
