Well, Schedule 80 PVC will work fine, but I did mine all in copper with  
sweat and flare fittings. Back when copper was relatively cheap.

Do not use PVC (or cpvc) for air lines.

Do a  google search for pvc air lines for more info if you need  convincing.

PVC is a shrapnel bomb when it ruptures.
