<VV> NECC: Official Lap Times for Lime Rock Time Trials

Official lap times for the Lime Rock Time Trials are now available for 
viewing at the NECC website: www.neccmotorsports.org

We had a field of 42 drivers in the time trials, plus another 5 drivers in 
our Taste of the Track program.  Cars included a broad range of Corvair and 
non-Corvair entries.  Among the non-Corvairs were a dozen Mitsubishi EVOs from 
the 
regional EVO club.

We had group practice sessions, open track sessions, and timed laps.  Each 
car was timed simultaneously by three members of our timing crew using stop 
watches.  The official lap time for each lap is the lowest of the three reading
s 
we recorded for that lap.  This is consistent with the timing methods that we 
have used for many years.  All the data was double-checked for accuracy.

The class winners were:

Corvair Comp Class:  Norm Latulippe (1:03.16)
Corvair Improved Stock IS-2:  Geoff Flynn  (1:13.54)
Corvair Improved Stock IS-4:  Mark Edmonds  (1:20.03)
Corvair Street Stock SS-3:  Tim Schwartz  (1:33.87)
Corvair Street Stock  SS-4:  Mike Pietro  (1:21.85)
Non Corvair WP:  Travis Lariviere  (1:04.07)

Norm Latulippe broke the previous Corvair lap time record, which was set back 
in 1997 by Jim Schardt.  Norm is now in our book of all-time records!
