I had check my own code spreadsheet and double checked in the Corvair
Decade and came up without a VD code.
 
Since your email I also checked the Tech Guide and your wonderful book
The Classic Corvair (which both list the VD code)
 
I love learning new things...

Sorry guys,
But there is a VD engine code. 
It's a 1963 FC with 102 hp engine and manual trans.
