I have my electric pump installed in the back of the car. It is located on the underside of the package shelf and taps into the rubber fuel line between the car and the engine. The pump is from Clarks. It has been in this location for many years and will pull fuel from the tank, even after the tank was empty.

As for the wiring, I use the Vega OP switch on the ground side. I also have a ignition activated relay on the positive side. This way the pump only runs when the ignition is on and the engine has oil pressure.

I really like that the engine will crank a few seconds before firing after the car has been sitting for several days. This gives the engine some time to build up oil pressure. I also like that the pump is very well shielded from road hazards and away from the passenger's feet. I can hear it when the engine is not running, but that condition is?not very often.

I want to install and electric fuel pump to help the fuel delivery. Should
this pump be a pulling pump as the engine or should it push from the tank?
