Hi everybody,

This is a request for information from owners of only 1966 and 1967 Corvairs
with the Injection Reactor (smog) AIR option (any hp and trans). 1968/69
Corvairs are not needed.

I am doing a study of the carburetors used on these AIR engines and need you
help. You would be doing me a big favor if you would please check the
carburetors on your engine.

First, do you think that your carbs might be originals? If there is a
possibility that they are, would you please remove the air cleaner assembly and
with a flashlight look down the throats. (hold the chokes open). There will be a
small shelf above the cluster and easily seen. Does it have what looks
like the top of a screw (normal screwdriver tip) visible on this shelf? Or is
there something that looks like a small hole or orifice there? If your carbs
are original, there should be one of these two (screw top or orifice).

Please advise me of what you find.

Many thanks for your help.

Regards,
Bob Helt
