the air cleaner may have taken on water ,making it run rich until it dried  
out..if engine was running while the wash was going on i would think along 
those  lines  
.i used to do a "wet tune up" on my cars , hosing them down while running  
and getting things in shape , but dont do it to a hot engine...good way to make  
strange things happen , such as headgasket failure etc...
