<VV> Early Spyder fuel return

I think the return line was not designed at a fuel pressure regulator. I 
think it was used to keep the fuel cool by allowing some circulation in the 
lines when the needle stopped the flow to the carb. The same system was used 
on Corvettes around the same time.
In later years Chevy used a few fuel pumps with the return line. These were 
used on high HP engines and A/C cars so that is what makes me think it was 
for curing vapor lock rather than to regulate the fuel flow.
