<VV> More seat belts

Boy, this seat rear seat belt thing is growing legs.

1) Installation of the lap seat beats in the rear is a first step
measure as I would eventually like to have the shoulder belts, also.
As I began to examine the installation, I realized that the fold down
rear seat will need to be secured. That would require some sort of
locking mechanism to at least minimize the risk of its inertia
harming the rear seat passengers (specifically thought not
exclusively, my 2 1/2 year old son who will be secured in a child
safety seat with pedestal) in a frontal collision. Has anyone done
this?

2) My ultimate goal is the "Sebring Solution" which will allow for
the front passengers to have shoulder harnesses. My question is:
will the Sebring rear seats also fit in the Corvair (yes, I realize I
will give up the folding rear seat) and allow for the use of the rear
lap and shoulder belts that come off of the Sebring? Also, can the
original rear seats be reinstalled if I choose the "Sebring
Solution" (in other words, no extensive remodeling necessary).

Nice to be examining road worthy questions instead of engine rebuild
questions for a change. ggg
