<VV> Engine air baffles

YES they are absolutely needed and they are attached by two wire 
spring clips for each baffle. That is why the
four oblong holes are in each baffle. These spring clips are specific 
to this application. Check your stash and see
if you don't find some clips or look on an assembled engine if possible.
