<VV> Por 15 questions

Hi,

Hoping there is someone here with some experience using Por 15. I have a 
couple of questions.

1) They recommend using Por15 self etching primer b/4 top coating. Does 
anyone know if you can use ANY self etching primer or must you use the 
the one from Por?

2) Has anyone tried top coating w/out using the primer? I tried a small 
area over the por 15 and the paint seemed to stick quite well.  (trunk 
speckle paint)
