The dripping carb is bad. There are two probable causes. Either your float has started to leak, or your inlet seat is loose or has a speck of dirt caught in it. You will have to remove the top of the carb to determine the cause. Once it is off, remove the float and shake it to determine if there is anything inside. If so, replace it. If not, check the needle and seat. Best to do this on a paper towel, so you can see if anything (dirt) comes out that shouldn't. Try to turn the seat with your finger. If you can, tighten and put it all back together. If everything checks out, check to ensure the rubber tip of the inlet needle is nice and smooth and sharp. Hope this helps.
