You know, if the mag fan had been plastic - after all these years, they 
would be brittle and breaking from age and the naysaying folks would 
complain about how poorly designed the plastic compressor fan was. I suspect 
this would have been the case as even my mag fans have developed stress 
fractures at the base over time.  I don't think that the plastic would not 
have held up to 14 hp spurts for 44 years. I'm grateful that acid fumes 
scuttled the plastic fan project.
