<VV> front spoilers- functional or decorative?

Functional, IMHO.  My '66 Monza convertible did not have the factory spoiler when I got her in 1998.  Adding the Camaro spoiler (available from your favorite Corvair vendor) made a noticeable difference in freeway speed stability.
