The Clark's 4x1 adaptors are PN c8607 in the Clark's/Otto performance catalog (pg otto-19 in the online catalog). These adaptors are aluminum casting that have been machined to fit onto the intake manifold of Corvair engines that have one carb per head. The adaptors enable you to add a second carb to each head, for a total of four carbs per engine. In addition, the adaptors also rotate the carbs 90 degrees to help eliminate fuel starvation during high speed cornering. Clark's adaptors are similar (if not the same) to the Ansen 4x1 carb adaptors shown in "How to Hot Rod Corvair Engines" on page 19 (1969 edition). In the days before the 140 hp heads, this was one of the best modifications a Corvair owner could make when increasing performance. Clark's claims that this conversion on a 110 hp engine has a higher torque curve up to 3,000 - 3,500 rpm than the 140 hp engine.

The 4x1 adaptors that I am offering are still in the original Clark's box. The kit includes two 4x1 adaptor casting, all linkage pieces, all fuel lines and connections from the fuel pump, carb base gaskets, carb studs, and flanged carb mounting nuts. The shipping weight is 4 lbs.

Clark's price is $269.40 plus shipping. I am asking $150.00 plus shipping.

Thanks for your interest.
