NO, I am not offering a turbo for your insane hot idle test. I'm
pointing out that after you burn up yours that I have spare parts to
sell you mad scientists. Between vacuum pulses and other hypotheses,
you are wasting your precious vair time. Most turbos on the road are
worn out and hence the problem of leaking turbos. Even if Craig
rebuilt his turbo as he said, there is no reason for oil be in his
induction unless he has an oil leak - that should be repaired. The
engine oil pressure at idle, maybe 8 lbs., exceeds the "boost" of the
idling turbo. At full boost, the engine oil pressure, maybe 30 lbs.,
exceeds the boost of the spun up turbo, maybe 9 lbs. If the leak
existed at idle it would exist on boost.

Is this complaint just from turbo owners? Is Crawford offering Craig
   and me his
turbo to run the hot idle test? Come to think of it, we have a member
in our local with a spare
turbo...AHA! A lot safer to try another turbo than to run mine dry!
