Painting or otherwise insulating the pushrod tubes might make a difference 
if there was a significant mass oil flow in them but with the insignificant 
flow that there is, it can't make a significant difference.  It is possibly 
significant that I have never seen any evidence of oil coking in these tubes 
so maybe they never do get too hot.
