A lot of what you say is true, especially about loading up cars with
accessories. Loaded cars are not only more enjoyable to own, they
generally are worth more (at least to the non-NCRS types) upon resale.

The only hitch is that from what I've seen, it's the parts that have NOT
been repopped that they are after. Regardless, it still results in the
destruction of a CORVAIR tele column, and the loss thereof to the
Corvair community as a whole. Sure, I'm thankful for such things being
repopped, like the '67-9 turn signal switch assembly, that probably
wouldn't have been repopped had it not been for its use in other
(particularly high-buck) cars. But until they repop the parts these guys
ARE after, I still see them as vultures.
