<VV> Exhaust valve not opening?

A quick diagnosis for exhaust valve not opening. With the engine running, pull the plug wire to the suspsected cylinder. If the engine speeds up and runs smoother, the exhaust valve is not opening. When the air /fuel mixture is exploded, the piston goes down (sideways) as it should but when it comes up there is no escape route until the intake valve opens. The burnt gas rushes into the intake manifold screwing up the mixture to the other cylinders until the piston goes back down drawing in fresh fuel/air through the intake. With the sparkplug disconnected, the mixture does not explode thus making it much easier to recompress than if it was exploded. Also doesn't screw up the mixture to the other cylinders as bad. Hope this helps.
