Here in Kansas, you can do a title search with just a VIN. Kansas titles  
have had the mileage listed at least back to 1965. I have such documentation on  
my 1965 500 sedan that shows the 30,000 that was on it when I bought it was  
actual. Unfortunately for me, I've only been able to add just over 4000 miles 
in  the almost two years I owned it. Unfortunately for the rest of you, I'm not 
 selling it :^).
