<VV> Drivetrain Removal Technique

Any suggestions for where to find the best step-by-step directions for a newbie about to drop a Corvair (Spyder) drivetrain for the first time?  (I think I have most of the recommended books, and most back issues of the Communiqués, so any citations would be appreciated.)  

Also, any special tips for removal of the turbo, etc?  Any hard-learned lessons on "things I should have done when the engine was out?"

Here we go, into the breach!
