As suggested I asked clarks about the fans. I got the following reply; The cars originally had the metal fans, but the plastic actually work better as they are lighter and create less load on the motor. With this info in hand, as well as the advice given here on VV I will reinstall the plastic fan I took out of the car. Ray Rodriguez
