<VV> folded fin oil cooler on 140?

The message below lead me to believe there might be a problem swapping the folded fin oil cooler onto my 140... is that the case? I was previously under the impression I could bolt the folded fin cooler on without any problems for more effective cooling.  Please let me know as I have already purchased the folded fin cooler and will be installing it in a week or two.

Tony,
If the top shroud is off a smogger engine, it will use the same 12 plate oil 
cooler as the 140... but if it's a non-smog 110/95 it will use the 8 plate, 
which will easily accept a folded fin style oil cooler...
