<VV> heater

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried mounting an oil cooler and putting a fan behind it for a heater.  I am thinking that in theory.........it would work like a heater coil in a water pumper.  Probably would not get as warm, but just a thought.  And by the way, thanks to all the veterans and military folks out there on this Memorial Day weekend.  Semper Fi to all!  Thanks!
