Shift shaft seal is easy to do with the powertrain IN the car. A little 
harder with it out (it's on the bottom).
As for the 1/2 shafts; if it 'aint leaking, leave it alone. The gasket 
between the tranny and diff usually doesn't go bad, but if it's leaking....
