I notice alot of 1960-61 fuel pumps for sale and wondered if anyone has ever cut off the long shaft to make it the same as a 1962-69 pump? Don't see why it wouldn't work. The shaft isn't a high wear item as the pushrod just "pushes" on the end of it. A minute or two with a 3" disc on an air grinder and you're in business! Clark Hartzel
