<VV> High performance coil problem / Mounting?????

I have never moved the coil from it's stock location and also have never had 
one fail over the last thirty years except one time and that was when the 
wire to the distributor shorted out.  I guess that bad aftermarket coils may 
give different results but I stick with stock type coils.
