<VV> License Plate Light Conversion to LED?

Paul,

I'm working on a couple of LED retro's right now.  Combined
tail/brake/signal and backup for my Rampy (using clear lenses) and a similar
one for my '66 using all reverse lenses.  I'm just at the gathering parts
stage.  But www.hidplanet.com has a great forum with lots of technical info
on building your own retros.

I have noticed that the bulb is "hard" on the lens.? Has anybody tried an
LED replacement?? Any suggestions as to where I might start to learn more
about the possibility of such a conversion?
