<VV> Low oil pressure in a late model

Buy an inexpensive oil press Gage from your local FLAPS. Get some flexible nylon tubing and sufficient fittings to screw the fitting into the oil pressure sender position. Start the engine. Now you know the oil pressure. The darn light comes on about 5 psi!
Could be the pressure relief valve. Could be poor bearing clearances.
Anybody else have an answer?
