<VV> LM Rear Seat

In my post about the LM accelerator pedal, I briefly spoke of removing the rear seat to gain access to a support bolt for the accel. linkage.
Upon removing the base of the rear seat, yikes! Pull out the vacuum!
If I was not concerned about saving any vinyl in the interior for now, should I just through it all out, or should I save the metal spring base of the rear seat?
