There is more similarity in the pictures that in the cars on the street.  The NSU was tiny, the proportions were odd ... But the coachwork was amazingly accurate.  There was a drunk in the next block from my house that had one with a piston engine.  The performance level was so low it kept him out of trouble.  Some of them were powered by a rotary engine.  Those had a usable life expectancy of several months.
