<VV> Grant steering wheel adapterpart #

FWIW, I have the same adapter as Seth sells except mine has the larger
(pre-64 and post-66) splines. I have tried about every combination of Grant
parts over the years and this adapter is head and shoulders above anything
else. Really solid feel (as one would hope from one-piece billet) and much
more connected to the road in terms of steering input and feedback.
Of course, I had to ditch my old Grant three-bolt wheel but I'm not sorry
about that either. :-) I have a nice Grant 5-bolt wheel now. Pics available
upon request.

The 65-66 steering shaft splines are unique. Grant doesn't offer the
adapter
directly to the public any more. All is not lost, however. Clarks and
Underground have the 'old' Grant adapter that I think is for 5 bolt steering
wheels. Seth Emerson (of SillyCone Wires)?just came out with a very nice
adapter
that works for 7 bolt wheels. I think there are more 7 bolt wheels out
there,
so Seth's?will be real handy.

The old adapters were designed for the 3-bolt (Grant/Superior) wheel. There
are several additional adapters that can modify it to carry other brands and
designs of wheels. The newer Silicone Wire Systems adapters for the 65-66
are
available in either a 5-bolt design - for Grant Signature Series Wheels and
a few other wheels - and a 6-bolt design, which allows you to install the
original "wood" wheel from GM or other 6-bolt GM wheels - or the Momo brand
of
aftermarket wheel. I will soon have the adapters available for the 1964
models
as well. - Seth
