Sounds like a stock 60 to 64 manual trans shifter. Are you sure clutch 
is releasing all the way? This will cause hard shifting. Earlies shift 
real easy. Too easy for a lot of people, they think it is too sloppy!

Side seals real easy to replace on differential on 60 to 64. Jack up 
rear, remove wheels, remove 4 nuts holding rear wheeel bearings to 
backing plates, slide axles from differential, R&I seals, check 
differentail lube.

Input shaft seal requires R&I engine. Do when replacing throwout bearing.
