I also belong to the Crosley club (being the owner of a '52 Super Sport). The Time article also maligned one of them with inacuracies in "facts" and obvious lack of knowledge of the subject vehicle. One of the members wrote the following to Time. I thought it was pretty good.

To the Editor:

I was very surprised and disappointed to see the depths to which Time's 
journalistic standards has sunk. The Times.com article "The 50 Worst Cars of All 
Time" by Dan Neil is not only grossly incorrect in many technical aspects, 
but written with a style and language more suited to a teenager's blog than a 
Pulitzer Prize-winning automotive critic. For all of his professed 
knowledge, Mr. Neil obviously does not have a clue about many of the older vehicles he 
ravaged, and did not feel the need to research his 'facts'. Such 
irresponsible journalism is disturbing in any media, but when it appears under the Time 
banner I have to cringe.

Yes, this article is a piece of fluff, simple-minded filler to entertain. 
Sadly, Time's reputation and the seeming expertise of the author give it 
undeserved credibility. Too many readers who share Mr. Neil's ignorance will 
simply accept his unsupported and often random blathering as fact. And that, to 
use one of Mr. Neil's phrases, marks Time as a truly 'craptastic' publication.
