The big danger to human life forms, vs the electronic ones, isn't the 
high voltage of some modern ignition sparks, but the current that can go 
with it. It is reported that some systems can put out about ten amps at 
50 KV. Does anybody have any good data on this?

Average unpowered electrical test lights make good probes -- oddly, it 
doesn't seem to harm the bulbs.
