Oh, is there a difference between EM and LM in this area?

Actually... some... Matt?.... will tell you that the metal part of the 
filler neck can be driven downward with a block of wood and a hammer.

I've done a early tank before and know that everything has to come down to 
install the neck and vent hose(what a JOY that was).
Do I have to drop everything on a LM to do the same? It looks like there's 
access to everything from the wheel well if I don't have arthritis or 
something. Basically what I'm looking for is an easy way out. Is there 
one???
