So Dave,

First of all... Welcome!

Sounds as if you intend to use your Vair the way I like to use mine. Well,
when there is no salt on the roads - I'm in IL. But, my vert spent it's
life in CA before I got hold of it and it will NOT see salty roads, even in
IL.

You've picked a good time to get involved since the (Inter?)National Corvair
Convention will be in CA this year. It moves every year within 3 zones.
Maybe we'll get a chance to meet in 2010 when it will be in the central zone
(Iowa then). I drive to conventions so long I can make it in one day.

Enjoy your car and enjoy your new friends. CA has several local clubs and
it sounds as if you've already located one close to you. You should be able
to make shows and cruises year round and I'll bet your local club members
know where they are and when.

Congrats on your new hobby - interest.

.... A couple quick things about VV. Attachments don't work. Want to send
a picture? Post it someplace and provide a LINK on VV. Some of the guys on
here have known each other since dirt was invented. If you see a jab or
two, most often they are good natured. Don't take them as mean spirited as
can happen with printed VS spoken words. This group put together a CD for
newbies a few years back and you can get it without charge (we all paid $20
at the time) by taking out a CORSA membership. OK - enough for now.

Again, WELCOME!
