<VV> Cylinder head temp thermister

Dave,

With the lower shrouds off, I need to drive a decent distance at highway
speed to get the needle to come off of 200 when the outside temp is in the
low 60s. Maybe you need a hotter day or put the shrouds back on to really
know if the thermister is working or not.

I lift the car on the rockers with a piece of wood between jack (4 inch cup)
and car. Do NOT lift the power train in order to lift the car.

Both with head temp gauges

Hi guys,

Before my engine was rebuilt, the cylinder head temp gauge worked

Is there any reason why I shouldn't run the
engine with the lower shroud off to warm up the head for another test?

P.S. Is there a trick to jacking up the rear other than one side at a time?
It scares me to use a floor jack to lift the rear by the oil pan or
differential. Yes, I use jack stands for safety.
